College football is finally back.
The long wait of the offseason is behind us, and another season of Texas football is upon us. After months of transfer portal news, recruiting, fall camp reports, preseason rankings, and entirely too much speculation, we finally get to settle things on the field.
And this year, we’ve got something new to share.
Burnt Orange Koolaid has officially relaunched. We spent the offseason rebuilding the site from the ground up with a fresh look, expanded coverage, new stats and analytics, the return of the BOK Poll, and plenty of completely rational and unbiased Texas football opinions.

The Mission: Championship
Expectations are sky-high in Austin entering 2026. Arch Manning is back for his fourth season, Steve Sarkisian has surrounded him with perhaps his deepest collection of offensive weapons yet, and Will Muschamp returns to the Forty Acres to lead a defense headlined by Colin Simmons.
We’ve got the Longhorns going 10–2 against one of the most difficult schedules in the country — and we believe this team has everything it needs to compete for a national championship.

THE BOK POLL IS BACK
The first BOK Poll of 2026 is here. Ohio State opens the season at No. 1, followed by Oregon and Georgia, with the Longhorns checking in at No. 4.
Preseason rankings are always part projection, part educated guess, and part complete nonsense — but that's what makes this time of year fun. Starting this weekend, we'll finally have some actual football to argue about.
We'll update the BOK Poll every week throughout the season, voted on by BOK staff, family, friends, and anyone else who wants to join the fun.
AROUND COLLEGE FOOTBALL
The Longhorns still have another week before kicking off their season, but college football gets underway this weekend. After an offseason full of roster turnover, coaching changes, conference storylines, and preseason predictions, we’ll finally get our first look at what the 2026 season might have in store.
And from here, the calendar moves quickly. Every Saturday brings us one step closer to Texas taking the field at DKR on September 5.
We’ve waited long enough. Let’s watch some football.
